Also known informally as “the Brain Trust” session …it was a full day putting the sharpest minds to work on developing innovative business solutions to the current (and future!) challenges for games companies. A chance to step away from the day-to-day, to think BIG and LONG-TERM.
The issues for the industry are real, but innovative solutions and breakthrough thinking really seem to be thin on the ground.
Moving beyond platitudes & lazy “hot takes” is not easy…it requires deep experience coupled PLUS a willingness to try new things AND then see them through.
That’s we invest the time in these workshops specifically designed to surface those less obvious and potentially radical ideas that can lead to healthy, profitable & successful games companies.
We really started to get into some breakthrough thinking about how games companies can be enabled to succeed now and into the future.
We found it pretty exhilarating to be honest. We are often really frustrated by the groupthink and cliches we’ve seen around on the topic recently, so this workshop was truly the perfect antidote!
Only challenge now is we generated such a volume of ideas we’ll definitely need a lot of follow up work to refine, craft and prioritise them (that’s the best kind of problem to have…)
Thanks to the fabulous contribution of Rob Bartholomew , Haley Uyrus , Nataliia Kinshchak , Jeff Pabst , Karl Kontus , Leonor Duarte and Chris Bain, PhD today we’ve certainly managed to do that. In fact we were maybe too successful? So much great thinking produced today that we’ll now need to do an extra follow up to further refine & develop the ideas…
Watch this space as we share some of our findings over the coming weeks. Its these fundamental innovations and radical thinking that form the core of what we offer to our clients…defining, guiding and implementing the strategic & operational changes needed.
We are confident it will enable us to raise the game and we look forward to sharing it with you, as well as using it to bring success to our clients.
We’re always ready to make games companies successful…so contact us now for a free initial consultation to discuss your needs!
